Urbanatomy Academy is a dynamic workforce and leadership development program created by The Stephens Foundation to prepare youth and young adults for real-world success. Designed as a hybrid internship, it combines classroom learning with hands-on community experience.
Participants, known as TSF Ambassadors, receive professional training in event management, logistics, and civic engagement while developing leadership and communication skills. Each intern builds a personalized career portfolio that includes résumés, certifications, and reflection tools to track growth and achievement. Through mentorship, workshops, and real-life projects, interns gain exposure to diverse career pathways and workforce readiness strategies
Registration Deadline for the 2026 Season is November 10, 2025 - December 10, 2025.

The CHASEr program serves as The Stephens Foundation’s Human Resources tool, built on the philosophy that every worker should be granted an identity. Through this model, we create efficient and equitable work opportunities for individuals interested in personal and career development.
Every Urbanatomy intern is paired with a professional mentor who provides guidance, feedback, and real-world insight. Mentors come from a range of fields — education, community organizing, communications, and public service — to help interns develop both career and leadership skills.
Mentorship is at the heart of the Urbanatomy experience — because growth happens when you learn beside those who lead.
Urbanatomy offers applied, project-based internships that give participants hands-on experience in real community work. Interns take ownership of meaningful projects, and choose a program track to apply the curriculum.
